Dorothy Gray
Occupation: Educator
Experience: Dorothy Gray is a lifelong educator and
currently the director of the Alaska State Writing Consortium, a non-profit
organization dedicated to improving the writing skills of Alaskan teachers
and their students. She is also a lifelong member of the Russian Orthodox
Church and the secretary of the Kenai Parish Council. Dorothy
helped initiate and direct the 1998 restoration of the Russian Orthodox rectory,
one of the oldest buildings on the Kenai Peninsula. In addition,
Dorothy serves as treasurer of the Lee Shore Center, a non-profit organization
for abused women and children in Kenai.
